Japanese Culture Experience at
Narita-san Shinsho-ji Temple

Experience traditional Japanese culture with a visit to Narita-san Shinsho-ji Temple, one of Japan's most famous tourist destinations with a history stretching back more than 1,000 years. Travel back in time as you explore the tightly-spaced rows of inns, handicraft shops and restaurants lining Narita-san Omotesando street.

With a history stretching back more than 1,000 years, Narita-san Shinsho-ji Temple Is one of Japan's most famous tourist destinations, The hilly area behind the main hall is occupied by the Narita-san Park, which features three ponds circumnavigated by a walking path renowned for its cherry blossoms and autumn foliage.

Feel like a time-traveler as you taste Japanese sake, snack and traditional hand-grilled rice crackers while exploring the tightly-spaced rows of inns, handicraft shop and restaurants.

Pastoral landscape
Tako-mai Rice is well-known for its marvelous taste. The pastoral landscape allows you to enjoy greenery in the spring, and brightens to gold in the fall.

Nichihon-ji Temple
At this temple 8000 hydrangeas are in glorious bloom in summer. It was well-known for being a university for Buddhist monks in the past.

Chiba Prefectural Boso no Mura Sakae town is a theme park where guests themselves are able to experience the lifestyle in older days, replicating Japan's landscape at the turning point Edo Period to Meiji Period about 150 years ago.

  2. (2) Tour participants must be eligible to enter Japan.
  3. (3) Please ensure that you have sufficient time to participate in your desired tour, as tour participants are solely responsible for their schedule and any possible delays which may arise.
  4. (4) All tours are intended to guide non-Japanese travelers who are changing planes at Narita Airport (either domestic or international flights) or who are staying in the Narita area.
  5. (5) All tours are free of charge; however, participants are responsible for all personal expenses, including transportation costs and entry fees, while on the tour. (There is no need to cover the guide's fees or expenses.)
  6. (6) Due to the limited number of volunteer guides available, there is no guarantee that a guided tour can be provided to all participants desiring one.
